With 166 Colorado shows under their belts going into a three night weekend at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, selecting five Colorado Widespread Panic shows is a monumental task that has surely been thoroughly discussed by hard core fans. To be certain, we could make multiple Top Five lists for Red Rocks alone, but we’ll save that for next year, when the band reaches their 50th consecutive sell out at the famed venue.
Disclosure: I understand that Widespread Panic fans have strict rules, and everyone has their own reasons for a show being “the best.” I’ve consulted with a handful of friends who have hundreds of Panic shows under their belts, and these shows consistently rise to the top. This list is based purely on the music , not “my first show”, “my birthday show”, “raging lot scene”, etc. Rock on!
