Ergon has been at it for a long time, but I have to admit, I’ve mostly dismissed the GS1, one of their longstanding flagship grips. Until now. As I get older, aches and pains seem to be getting more prevalent, and over the past few months, recurring numbness in my pinky and ring fingers has been creeping into my cycling experience, including my shorter rides clocking in under two hours. I needed to try something. First up, the Ergon GS1-S. They arrived in the mail today. I promptly installed the GS1s on my Soulcraft single speed and headed out for an extended lunch ride. Short story. SOLD! No numbness. Instantly comfortable.
