Your guide to the best non-alcoholic beers!
If you’ve made the decision to ditch alcohol, are considering it, or participating in a monthly “sober challenge”, rejoice! The days of bland, tasteless non-alcoholic beer options are over. The craft NA scene has grown significantly over the past couple of years, with breweries dedicated entirely to non-alcoholic beers popping up across the country, and a handful of established traditional breweries also starting to offer NA options. This page is dedicated to providing an ongoing running list of some of my favorite non-alcoholic craft beers on the market.
Athletic Brewing Company
Stratford, CT
Athletic Brewing Company has quickly grown a solid reputation in the NA scene, and could probably be considered today’s most popular NA brewer. Their Run Wild IPA appears in nearly every NA roundup published over the past couple of years. And rightly so. It’s a tasty take on the most popular beer style in America. With four year-around offerings, pilot series, and limited seasonal releases throughout the year, ABC has plenty of options to satisfy a wide range of tastes. Athletic is also now offering non-alcholic, hop-infused seltzers, called Daypack.
Athletic Brewing Company is dedicated to trails through their Two For The Trails program, with 2% of sales going toward a rotating list of trail initiatives.

Bootstrap
Longmont, CO
Bootstrap Brewing Company entered the NA category in late 2020, the first (and only at time of publishing) traditional Colorado brewery with a non-alcoholic offering, with their Strapless IPA. Strapless instantly rocketed to the top of my list of favorite NA beers, with a stunningly unmatched true-to-style flavor. No joke, you’ll be double checking the can to make sure it is in fact non-alcoholic. And as with their canned alcoholic options, the can art for Strapless IPA is best in class. If that’s not enough, Strapless IPA is also packed with electrolytes, including potassium, magnesium, and sodium. I’m certainly hoping for more NA options from Bootstrap.

BrewDog
Columbus, OH
BrewDog is a globally recognized brewery, with outposts around the world. With a constantly expanding lineup, no other traditional brewer comes close to their commitment to providing non-alcoholic offerings. BrewDog’s love of music shines through in their beer names, including Punk AF, Elvis AF, and their Ghost Walker collaboration with metal heavyweights Lamb of God.

Lagunitas
Petaluma, CA
You probably know Lagunitas more for their big West Coast IPAs, but they’re also one of the few traditional brewers currently offering NA options. Their new NAIPA has that hop explosion that you’d expect from a Lagunitas offering.
Also check out Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher if you’re looking for something on the seltzer end of the spectrum.
And finally, hit up Hi-Fi Hops if you’re lucky enough to be in a THC-legal state (available in Colorado)!
