Fog. As skiers and snowboarders, it’s one of our arch enemies. While fairly infrequent for me (not enough powder days, ever!), it’s definitely a bummer when I’m forced to stop riding to deal with fogged goggles.
What is A-Bom?
A-Bom goggles are made up of a patented system called KLAIR™, which places an invisible heat-conductive film between a pair of lenses that heats up to eliminate fog. A battery sends a current through the film to heat the lens. When on, the system is designed to prevent fog from formingAbom calls it “Active Anti Fog” technology (vs so called “fog resistant” goggles).
Does it work?
Yes! With two great powder days, we had the perfect test conditions here in Colorado last weekend. With face shots and falls all day, and the Abom system set to “Always On”, I had no issues with fogged lenses.
