2016 SIA Best in Show Snowboard Bindings - K2 Snowboards Lien FS

2016 SIA Best In Show - Snowboard Bindings

K2 Snowboards Lien FS

I was pulled in by the Tripod™ Chassis when I saw the Lien FS at the show. And fully sold when I rode them at the on-snow demo at Copper Mountain! The Lien FS trends much more toward the soft, surfy, playful side of the spectrum, but they were easily my overall favorite bindings of the day, from the bowls at the top of Copper, through the bumps, carving groomers, and in the trees. Super comfortable, loaded with features, and infinitely customizable.

FEATURES

  • Tripod Chassis – Three customizable urethane bushings of different durometers (soft, medium, hard) under each foot, designed for different levels of mobility and flex.
  • New Tweekback Opti™ Highback
  • New Perfect Fit™ Toe Strap
  • Sizes: M, L, XL
  • MSRP: $269.95

Now

SIA 2016

We’ve watched Now grow from a tiny SIA end-cap, with a couple of bindings on display to the impressive lineup you see above. With new models, including the women-specific Conda and Nxgen, their first kids bindings (thank you!!), Now just keeps building on their unique approach to high performance bindings. We couldn’t be more stoked for JF Pelchat and his crew!

Fix

SIA 2016

Fix Truce

Last, but certainly not least! I rode these bindings by chance last year at the SIA on-snow demo, before they were introduced to the public. I was instantly taken by their comfort and response all over the mountain, and maybe even more by their price. $169 for a clean, simple, customizable, and reliable binding? Sold!

Stay tuned for more from us about Fix in the near future!
