I’ve had the opportunity (pleasure!) to test this jacket in snowshoeing during a late spring blizzard, morning runs, and cold, rainy mountain bike rides in Telluride. The Enroute has become my go-to jacket. It’s kept me dry and warm during all conditions. Once I warm up, I’m able to open the chest and under arm vents to help with breathability. The jacket compacts into the right pocket and is lightweight enough to toss into a small pack.
The hood is one of my favorite features. It’s pleated in the back to allow room for a ponytail and it can be adjusted in three areas for a perfect fit.
Finally, I love the feminine fit and colors – both are very flattering and I have received several compliments.
BOTTOM LINE
Helly Hansen knows how to keep you dry and comfortable in the wettest conditions on the planet. The Enroute Jacket is very versatile, looks great, and I can count on it for everything from cool morning runs, rainy mountain bike rides, and outdoor concerts.
