Oregon doom metal legends YOB stopped by a sold out Marquis Theater in Denver, Thursday March 24th, as part of their one week Western US tour. The trio played a fierce one hour set that leaned heavily on 2011’s Atma. The set featured some of their absolute heaviest songs, including opener “Prepare the Ground”, and set closer “Burning the Alter” from 2009 long player The Great Cessation. The energy surrounding this band is incredible, and this show was the most intense I’ve seen from them. Denver death metal trio Glacial Tomb and tour mates True Widow opened, making for a stacked and diverse lineup.
