Teton Gravity Research (TGR) announced today it has officially opened its First Annual 2020 MTB Grom Contest, welcoming all mountain bikers under the age of 18 to compete for the chance to win a year-long sponsorship from TGR and a one-week signature session at Milepost35, the legendary Windells ski and snowboard camp’s new mountain bike program.

Submissions are now being accepted through TGR’s website, and the contest will run through Sept. 7. Entrants must be under 18 years of age as of July 7, 2020, and the contest is open to both male and female riders. Riders are asked to submit one mountain bike film edit three minutes or shorter through TGR’s website, and winners will be decided primarily based on the quality of action and level of riding, by a star-studded panel of some of the world’s top riders and mountain bike film directors.

“We’re thrilled to launch the MTB Grom Contest because it offers a wonderful way to connect with TGR’s younger fans and scout for motivated riders,” said TGR co-founder Todd Jones. “The Grom Contest gives younger, aspiring athletes a rare chance to directly submit videos to TGR and make a potentially life-changing impression on our team of judges, made up of some of the best riders in the world. The Grom of today can quickly become the PRO of tomorrow.”

Grand Prize winners – one male and one female – will win a TGR sponsorship for a year, a featured spot on the TGR film tour, and a TGR apparel prize pack. A single winner will win a one-week signature session at Milepost35 in Mount Hood, Ore. TGR will also offer a TGR apparel prize pack and additional prizes in the category of Best Trick, announcing one male winner and one female winner. Additional prizes will be announced at a later date.

This year’s all-new MTB Grom Contest is a new iteration of TGR’s popular decade-long series of ski and snowboard Grom competitions to help identify, encourage and promote some of the top skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers in the United States and Canada.

Footage for this year’s submissions can be taken from anywhere in the world and made up of freeride, singletrack, dirt jump, racing, and big mountain riding. Go find your line and submit it today.
